Following an incident by an aircraft within the fleet of one of many main airways within the nation, the runway of the Ilorin International Airport has been closed to visitors.
Many passengers, together with some highly-placed Nigerians, narrowly escaped death.
All flights to Ilorin have additionally been cancelled till evacuation of the aircraft.
The airline started operation from Ilorin Airport on June 16.
According to investigation, the aircraft crash landed at about 9.30am on Friday morning in Ilorin from Abuja.
The aircraft landed with a bang, which affected the cabin with baggage falling on passengers.
It was gathered with the influence of the crash the aircraft couldn’t taxi to the tarmac.
In the final 24 hours, the runway of the airport had been closed to visitors.
But all of the traumatised passengers had been efficiently evacuated from the runway.
As on the time of submitting this report at 2.08pm, efforts had been being made to relocate the aircraft from the runway.
It was learnt that the method of transferring the aircraft from the runway was gradual as a result of, based on a supply, “it’s a larger aircraft and we now have no tools.
“We are within the means of eradicating the aircraft. We have been on it for twenty-four hours,” the supply added.
